This next weekend (Nov 20/21) we will concluding our Healing series with a Baptism Service. This should be an all out festive time as we celebrate people dedicating their lives to Jesus! :)
Celebrating 30 Years of Ministry
The next week (Nov 27/28) we will continue our celebrations as we honor and encourage Ben and Tina Hoerr for their 30 years of awesome ministry at the Vineyard. This weekend will mostly be focused on what they've done and the impact they've had on our lives and in our church community. Sometime in the new year, 2011, we will have another send-off celebration where we will bless them and their team. You can find more info about the upcoming weekend (Nov 27/28) here:

Christmas at the Vineyard: Worship the King
In December we will launch our series called, Christmas at the Vineyard. Our focus for the series will be on worship. This idea comes from the different responses and acts of worship that we see in the Bible when Jesus is born: some prophecy, some rejoice and praise him, some bring him gifts. It's actually amazing when you see the extravagant variety of worshipful responses to Jesus. For us, this is what Christmas is all about. Here's an excerpt from one of our Senior Pastors, Di Leman, showing us the theme, purpose, and goals of the series:
- Overall Theme: Christmas is all about worshiping the King. We worship through praise, adoration, dancing, painting, drama, prophetic utterance, giving, and His Word. The Christmas story, as recorded in Matthew and Luke, gives us a dynamic picture of real human beings pouring out their hearts in worship of the King. Mary sings prophetically, the shepherds join with the angelic choir, the wise men travel long distances to bring expensive gifts, the priests and prophets proclaim praises by the Spirit. All of us, young and old, are invited, no, compelled, to join with these voices and actions in abandoned worship of the King whose birth we honor at Christmas.
- Overall Purpose: This series will focus us on the true Spirit and meaning of Christmas by turning us from the frantic frenzy of the season to worship of the King.
- Overall Goals: People will receive a fresh inspiration and faith to completely abandon themselves in worship of our glorious King. They will demonstrate this by engaging in praise, kneeling, dancing, giving sacrificially, loving others.
